1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is MIRATOK s.r.o., company ID (IČO): 02081601, VAT ID (DIČ): CZ02081601, registered office at Chudenická 1062/13, Hostivař, 102 00 Prague 10, Czech Republic, operator of the globalcars.cz website (the “controller”).

Contact for data protection matters: e-mail info@globalcars.cz, phone +420 773 717 689. The controller has not appointed a data protection officer.

2. What personal data we process

  • identification and contact details you provide through the contact form, e-mail, phone or WhatsApp – in particular your name, phone number, e-mail address and the content of your message;
  • data required to conclude and perform a contract on the selection, purchase, transport and customs clearance of a vehicle, including billing and identification data;
  • technical data about your visit collected through cookies.

3. Purpose and legal basis

  • Handling your enquiry – steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • Conclusion and performance of a contract – Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • Compliance with legal obligations, in particular accounting, tax and customs rules – Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
  • Legitimate interests of the controller, in particular website security and defence of legal claims – Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Analytical and marketing cookies – solely on the basis of your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

4. Retention periods

  • enquiries that did not lead to a contract: no longer than 12 months from the last contact;
  • contract-related data: for the duration of the contractual relationship and for the applicable limitation periods thereafter;
  • accounting and tax documents: 10 years from the end of the tax period in which the supply took place (Section 35 of Act No. 235/2004 Coll., on Value Added Tax);
  • cookies: for the periods stated in our Cookie Policy.

5. Recipients of personal data

  • the web hosting and technical support provider;
  • transport and freight forwarding companies involved in shipping the vehicle;
  • customs declarants and the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic;
  • our accounting office and tax adviser;
  • public authorities where required by law.

Personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area only where necessary for the purchase and transport of a vehicle from a third country, to the extent necessary for the performance of the contract under Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR.

6. Your rights

  • right of access (Art. 15 GDPR);
  • right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR);
  • right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR);
  • right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
  • right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR);
  • right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR);
  • right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.

7. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe your personal data has been processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (Office for Personal Data Protection), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, Czech Republic, www.uoou.gov.cz.

8. Security

The controller has adopted technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, in particular encrypted data transfer over HTTPS and restricting access to authorised persons only.

9. Effective date

This privacy policy is effective from 8 August 2026.
